iPNB Meeting Rescheduled Again!
NOTICE OF RE-SCHEDULED MEETING OF THE INTERIM PACIFICA NATIONAL
BOARD.
Jan. 25, 2003
First, we know that people have made travel plans to attend
the next meeting of Interim Pacifica National Board and so
we apologize for any inconvenience, problem or confusion this
creates, but we need to change the date of this meeting.
The next full meeting of the Interim Pacifica National
Board will be convened on Feb. 28, March 1 and 2, 2003 in
Berkeley, CA.
This meeting had been scheduled for the weekend of Feb.
7, 8 & 9 in Los Angeles, and then moved to Berkeley.
Our meeting schedule was based on the hope that the board
would be able to vote on new bylaws, but the schedule was
too tight. Given the bylaws work that still has to be done,
and that it does not make sense to convene a board meeting
until we are able to vote on the new bylaws, we decide to
postpone the meeting. I polled the IPNB members and there
is agreement that we will now meet the weekend of Feb. 28,
March 1 and 2.
I hope that we will all contribute to the completion of the
bylaws process and that the board will be able to vote at
this meeting. [Any board members that cannot attend the meeting
will be able to cast a written vote on the bylaws.] In addition,
several other important items will be on the agenda, including:
finances and budget, recommendations from the finance committee,
report/recommendations from the personnel committee, continued
discussion of race and diversity issues, affiliates program,
archives and other items.
Again, the meeting will take place:
Friday, Feb. 28; Saturday, March 1; and Sunday, March
2
in the KPFA listening area
As soon as the meeting and hotel details are available we
will share them. This is will be very important meeting and
welcome everyone's attendance.
