Pacifica Appoints National Elections Coordinator

I'm pleased to report that the National Office has hired David Greene as the part-time National Elections Coordinator for the upcoming LAB elections.

David led a volunteer effort to develop KPFA's election rules in 1999-2000 and subsequently ran KPFA's 2000 and 2001 elections. He is a former Board member and, since 1998, East Bay chapter chair of Californians for Election Reform, where he has participated in campaigns to reform election policies in San Francisco and Alameda Counties.

David is a registered Professional Engineer and his work since 1996 has focused on community-based water and sanitation systems. He can be reached at davidgreene@pacifica.org.

David will begin work immediately on developing uniform election policies and procedures as well as outreach and education materials. He will soon be identifying and then appointing local election coordinators for the five station areas. He will also develop and administer election budgets for printing, mailing, and other non-local fees.

The complete job description can be found at: Pacifica.org/news/electioncoordinator.html
