Pacifica Appoints National Elections Coordinator
I'm pleased to report that the National Office has hired
David Greene as the part-time National Elections Coordinator
for the upcoming LAB elections.
David led a volunteer effort to develop KPFA's election
rules in 1999-2000 and subsequently ran KPFA's 2000 and 2001
elections. He is a former Board member and, since 1998, East
Bay chapter chair of Californians for Election Reform, where
he has participated in campaigns to reform election policies
in San Francisco and Alameda Counties.
David is a registered Professional Engineer and his work
since 1996 has focused on community-based water and sanitation
systems. He can be reached at davidgreene@pacifica.org.
David will begin work immediately on developing uniform
election policies and procedures as well as outreach and education
materials. He will soon be identifying and then appointing
local election coordinators for the five station areas. He
will also develop and administer election budgets for printing,
mailing, and other non-local fees.
