Poets Cafe

KPFK Program
Airs : 12:00 PM

Description:
Poet's Cafe has opened its doors at KPFK. Like the legendary Mermaid Cafe in Renaissance England, the Poet's Cafe attracts the age's best poets. Nationally known poets such as Lyn Lifshin and Larry Jaffe, as well as the best local poets such as Katya Giritsky and Jaimes Palacio drop in to talk to host M.C. Bruce about poetry and life. It's not an interview show, it's a lively conversation spiced with poems about love, children, politics, penguins, and anything else the free-wheeling conversation might bump into. Heard 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at noon.
