WPFW Program

Description: Pamela Brewer, host of MyNDTALK "Making It Make Sense" (SM) with Dr. Pamela Brewer has been a member of the WPFW family since 1995. MyNDTALK is a live weekly call in program with a focus on relationships and mental health. Dr. Brewer also offers MyNDTALK SPECIALS which are single topic explorations- often focused on current events and the psychological impact. Workshops venues have included: JBCFS Domestic Violence Shelter (New York, New York), First Class Inc.(Washington, DC), WPFW - FM Radio and the Smithsonian Series in Washington, DC Dr. Brewer is a psychotherapist in private practice with offices in Bethesda, Maryland and Washington, DC. She is also the author of several self-help materials about healthy relationships, many of which are offered as THANK YOU GIFTS with your pledge of support to WPFW 89.3 FM Radio. Credits: Host: Dr. Pamela Brewer Dr. Brewer earned her MSW in Clinical Social Work from New York University, New York, New York where she graduated with the honor of being the first African American and first Social Work Student in the history of the University to be selected to deliver the Student Address at the University - wide graduation ceremonies. She received her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Union Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio. Volunteer work has included service to the Montgomery County Victims Services Advisory Committee:Legislative Subcommittee and Davis Memorial Goodwill Industries Board of Directors.Workshop presentations have included Healthy Relationships, Relationship Red Flags, Personal Red Flags and Silence.
