This week's Sprouts features an interview with Joan Block, Ph.D, ordained Zen Buddhist Nun in the Rinzai Zen tradition. Block discusses how people of all ages can re-connect with themselves to know inner wisdom and find new meaning, practices and abilities to own their truths. She also discusses how to put wisdom into actions that serve the greater good.

Questions raised include: What legacy or imprint do we leave for future generations? Who are we and how are we living in this world? How do we experience and claim our own wisdom and pass it on to future generations?

Block is an ordained Zen Buddhist Nun in the Rinzai Zen tradition since 1985, She is also an Interfaith Minister on the staff of One Spirit Interfaith Seminary, New York City. She holds a Masters degree in Psychology and a Ph.D in Philosophy. She is currently writing a book called "The Urgency of the Heart: Sutra in the Twenty-First Century."

This week's edition of Sprouts was produced by Deena Kolbert of WBAI/Pacifica Radio in New York City.
