Thousands of soldiers took control of Bangladesh’s capital city of Dhaka, in the South Asian country that has been going through political turmoil over the fairness of upcoming elections. Soldiers arrested an opposition politician today in a pre-dawn raid; one day after the president declared a nationwide state of emergency and postponed upcoming elections after weeks of often violent protests.
