WBAI's Deepa Fernandes teams with Mitch Jeserich from Free
Speech Radio News and Pacifica National Affairs correspondent,
Larry Bensky, to bring you the controversial nomination Hearing
of John Roberts for United States Supreme Court, Live. Each
day will include commentary and analysis from guest experts.
We'll find out why environmental groups, women's
reproductive rights organizations and human rights communities
along with others (see StopRoberts.com),
including former President Bill Clinton, Senator Patrick Leahy,
and many more people, are concerned about this nomination
and what it means for the future of our nation.

We'll hear Mitch Jeserich, Capitol Hill correspondent from Free
Speech Radio News with WBAI's Deepa Fernandes anchoring from
Washington, and national affairs correspondent Larry Bensky
anchoring from Berkeley, with guest experts and listener calls
during pre and post shows and breaks
Schedule
Monday 9/12/05 (all times Eastern)
11 AM to noon : pre-show
Noon to 5 PM : Hearing
5 PM to 6 PM : Post show, and pitching for Pacifica stations
and stations who want to participate in our Pacifica fund
drive to help support national programming and other Pacifica
resource needs. 10% of our proceeds will be given to communities
in the Hurricane area who are in the most need.
Tuesday 9/13/05 (all times Eastern)
Pacifica has received word that the hearings
will run until 9:00 PM EST. Coverage of the hearings will
be until 9:00 PM with no after-show. Though the full Tuesday
schedule has not been released, we are estimating it will
be 9:00 AM - 9:00PM EST.
This hearing is expected to continue through Friday, 9/16.
