Robert Knight and the Knight Report.. Robert: Ivory Coast
update.. UN Security Council discussions continue.. US deadline
of Mar 17 falls by the wayside.. global opposition and possible
prosecution.. International Criminal Court in the Haque..
Baghdad has more legal right to attack US than US has to attack
Iraq.. New Turkish PM contemplates new resolution to help
US war..

Dennis: today in Idaho, Sammy Hussein faces charges.. arrested
at 4am Feb 26 at his housing on the University of Idaho..
now w University of Idaho law professor Liz Brant.. Liz: they
entered his home, noise and shouting, one hundred agents..
arrested Sammy for 'visa fraud', interrogated his wife.. and
then spread out to interrogate other foreign students, most
of them Saudi.. most without attorneys.. Sammy charged with
omitting on his student visa application that he was a webmaster
for the Islamic Assembly of North America.. Sammy is a student
leader, an officer in the local mosque.. no criminal activity
on his part, even the government doesn't alledge he is dangerous..
authorities say they are looking for 'unnamed associates'..
the student community is terrified.. they have no idea what
their rights are.. many are contemplating going home.. Sammy
is still in jail, today is his hearing.. judge Michael Williams..
conservative and thoughtful.. the government has received
permission not to release their secret search warrants.. I
think these kind of cases will wake the American people up..
but I worry we are moving closer and closer to a place where
privacy and civil liberties are not valued anymore..

Dennis: more about the volatile situation in North Korea..
now w Tim Shirrock, author.. Tim: North Korea released another
grave warning.. they have been doing all kinds of things to
get Bush's attention.. Bush wants justification to use force..
Dennis: the US bringing in long range bombers, does the North
see this as normal?.. Tim: no, the North Koreans want a peace
treaty.. and China, Russia, and Japan all say the US must
talk.. it seems to be getting more dangerous by the day..
countries that fell their survival is at stake will build
nuclear weapons.. the US had a secret program to build nuclear
weapons during WWII.. many other countries have done the same..
important to look at what South Korea is saying.. they want
to end the state of war.. critical someone gets through to
Bush.. about Peter Hayes story about the US wanting to use
nukes on South Vietnam.. US has considered using nukes many
time, and is the only country to have used them.. US crossing
this line against first use of nuclear weapons is playing
with fire.. Dennis: if the US bombs the North.. Tim: the North
would retaliate by attacking US forces in South Korea and
maybe Japan.. the result would be a war.. the people of South
Korea would be divided, and lot of them would fight against
the US.. it would be a calamity.. I can't understand what
the Bush administration is doing.. direct talks are the only
way..

Dennis: now w the editor of Kurdish Life.. the Kurds haven't
been abused by the Iraqi government for 12 years.. about the
debate in Turkey over letting the US use Turkish territory
to launch an attack on Iraq.. the Turks really want Kurdistan..
(area of Iraq and Turkey inhabited by Kurds).. important that
Americans look at both halves of the story.. the Iraqi Kurds
were given assurances.. if they helped crush the Turkish Kurds,
they would be given a slice of liberated Iraq.. Turkey knows
the Kurds want independence.. fearful that the north or Iraq
could become Kurdistan.. the US blunder giving out to the
media that the Turks just want more money.. Iraqi Kurds have
just been concerned with themselves.. an almost biblical betrayal
of their brethren.. about the bizarre Israeli-Turkish connection..
Israeli trying to break up Arabs.. if Turkey wakes up and
sees that their enemy is not the Kurds, but the people behind
them.. no one sees the larger picture, everyone is looking
at trees.. the real victims are the American public, they
are kept in the dark.. cannot make informed decisions..
