Leslie: in the Philippines today, three mosques hit by grenades..
just hours after 16 people were killed in a bomb blast.. President
Arroyo supporting Bush's war on Iraq, and war on terrorism..
now w human rights activist Rhonda Ramiro of Filipino Coalition
for Global Justice in Manilla.. Rhonda: increased human rights
violations, people being slain and then being accused of being
terrorists.. about the two recent attacks.. Arroyo trying
to justify the presence of US combat troops in the Philippines,
in violation of the Philippine constitution.. the bombings
in the southern Philippines provide the perfect excuse to
end run the constitution.. Arroyo one of the first leaders
in Asia to expel Iraqi diplomats.. the Philippines provide
the perfect place for US bases.. launched their wars of aggression
against North Korea, Vietnam from here.. a strategic location..
the people do not support having US troops on Philippine soil..
protests everyday.. major demonstrations.. widespread opposition..
graffiti all over, saying US GO HOME.. Rhonda: about the repression
of civil liberties here.. young men and boys put in jail,
tortured..
