Paves the Way for the Complete Occupation and Looting of Iraq
by US Corporations;

Dennis: about today's UN Security Council vote giving the
US control of Iraqi oil resources, and ending sanctions..
now with James Paul executive director of the Global Policy
Forum.. James: the first thing the UN resolution does is lift
the sanctions on Iraq.. but under what circumstances?.. allows
the occupiers to gain control of the oil of Iraq.. there was
a key moment at the UN, could have allowed the UN to insist
on the return of weapons inspectors, and return control of
Iraq to the the Iraqis.. actually legitimizes the occupation..
the bottom line: the occupiers get the oil.. Dennis: amazing
that France and Russia folded so quickly?.. James: bare knuckle
diplomacy.. the Chilean ambassador recalled.. pressure put
on every single member of the council.. the era of empire..
the other members felt weary of battling this giant (the US)..
the US wore them down.. US threatened the French with boycotts
and false rumors.. all stops pulled out for this thing..

Dennis: now w British reporter Greg Palast in Florida where
we reported on the stealing of the 2000 election.. Greg: I'm
at the scene of the crime, across the street from the Governor's
office.. talking now about WorldCom and Global Crossing and
Enron.. World Com the Rosemary's baby of deregulation.. phone
service 'deregulated'.. phone companies used to have to keep
careful records.. but Daddy Bush ended that, finished off
by Clinton.. GLOBAL CROSSING GAVE 13 MILLION DOLLARS IN STOCK
TO GEORGE BUSH FOR ONE SPEECH.. billions in pension funds
disappeared.. a criminal enterprise.. now given a billion
dollar contract to 'rebuild Iraq'.. the US brings in the Phone
Mob.. about the documents I have uncovered.. an initial story
in the Wall Street Journal.. an 101 page document, about 'rebuilding
Iraq'.. a free market fantasy.. wants to 'steal Iraq' along
the lines how Russia was stolen from its people..

Dennis: now about computerized voting.. Greg: not one word
in this document about democratizing Iraq.. details regressive
taxation.. enormous sales taxes.. why are we designing the
Iraq tax system without any imput from them.. the idea is
to turn Iraq into a second Chile.. an experiment in free market
torture and repression.. Dennis: why when I hear the word
'free' next to 'market' I see repressive dictatorships?..
Greg: the idea that 'free markets' create freedom is a sly
myth.. the NY Times uses the word 'reform' every time there
is a dimunition of worker's rights, or women's rights.. about
the 'Help America Vote Act'.. computerized voting is a dangerous

Dennis: the late Judy Bari is still making her mark on the
Bay Area.. tomorrow the city of Oakland will proclaim June
20th as Judy Bari day.. now w activists Derrell Cherny and
Karen Pickett.. Derrell: about Judy and 'bomb school'.. a
month before Judy and I were bombed, the FBI had a bomb school
on LP lumber property, blowing up pipe bombs in cars.. now
a recording of Judy about the FBI bomb school.. led by Frank
Doyle, who led the response to our car bombing.. LP is our
principle adversary.. (Judy details how the FBI prejudiced
the respondents to the bombing of her and Derrell).. Dennis:
how would you describe Judy?.. Karen: Judy was a lot of fun
to work with, an absolutely brillant strategist.. labor organizing,
environmental organizing.. don't blame the workers, blame
the bosses.. there has been a smear campaign going on up in
Humboldt.. when the term terrorist is being thrown around
so loosely.. radio, TV and newspaper ads.. and we are the
