Dennis: After centuries of invasion, enslavement, theft, and
resistance, Africa remains the poorest continent in the world...it
has the highest rates of HIV/AIDS, and is at the moment embroiled
in several regional conflicts. Joining us to talk about Africa
and her current woes, is Horace Campbell, professor of African-American
Studies and Political Science at Syracuse University. He serves
as the Chairperson of the International Caucus of the Black
Radical Congress and has recently authored a book, "Reclaiming
Zimbabwe."...Dennis: Well, Dr. Campbell, there seems
to be about a half-dozen wars taking place across the continent
of Africa...what's going on, what are the roots of this strife?

Dennis: In Palestine today, there was another Israeli missle

In Iraq, the US "liberators" today banned anti-American
activity, denying Iraqis the right to assemble and protest
against their own occupation, and launched a new major military
operation...joining us to talk about the latest developments
is Phyllis Bennis. Bennis is a fellow at the Institute for
Policy Studies and a regular contributor to Flashpoints...welcome,
Phyllis...first of all, let's talk about the "roadmap

to fine and jail property owners for the drug offenses of
their customers..joining us to talk about these new laws is
Bill Pepper, the Associate Director for the National Affairs
for the Drug Policy Alliance...welcome...tell us a little
about this "Rave Law"...(CONTINUED)
