Mordechai Vanunu Still Imprisoned Genie Shaterian is interviewed
by Dennis. Trapped in a windowless cell for years for 11.5
years Mordechai Vanunu (who was imprisoned for divulging Israel's
nuclear program) has just recently been taken out of solitary
and is writing moving poetry. When he gets out of prison April
22, 2004 he is planning to get out of Israel and move to Minnesota.
Anita Barrows and Johanna Macy will be reading translations
of Rilke's poetry. Sunday 24 August 3 pm at the Unitarian
Fellowship at 1924 Bonita at Cedar. Benefit $5-15 suggested
but no one turned Away.

The Middle East Childrens Alliance will host a screening
of "In the Line of Fire" on Wednesday 7:30 PM $10-25
sliding scale at La Pena, 3105 Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley.
No one will be refused for lack of funds. Mazen Dana, a Palestinian
journalist working in Baghdad was killed by the US army on
August 17.
