The Robert Knight Report

Robert Knight: Bush Sues for Peace at the UN; Two Military
Reports Emerge on Iraq Costs Congressional Budget Office Releases
estimates of $8 to $29 Billion/Year for Iraqi Occupation.
This is in addition to the $80 Billion allocated just 4 months
ago. At this rate the dollars will run out in March 2004.
See the "Analysis of US Ability to Sustain Occupation
of Iraq" report at www.cbo.gov Also, the conservative
Washington Times reports "Secret classified Pentagon
study that blames the debacle in Iraq on a rushed and error
prone war planning process that "limited the focus of
post invasion occupation". The secret report notes that
Bush himself set the plan and prematurely approved details
in August of 2002 (a full seven months before the fact). Noted
was the "utter disregard in planning to investigate what
the world knows to be the non-existent weapons of mass destruction"
used by Bush as a pretext for the invasion. Bush with hat
in hand is looking for funding as pumping oil fails. James
Paul, Exec Dir of the Global Policy Forum states: "In
1991 the US was able to pressure Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Germany
and Japan to pay $10 to $20 Billion to pay for the war".

The 10 reported attacks per day hide the 30/40/50 incidents
that are not reported. 'Non Combat' Casualties Climb, Depleted
Uranium, 'Pneumonia', Post Traumatic Stress. Cost escalations
continue well OVER the acknowledged low ball estimate of $4
Billion per month. Deja Vu of Vietnam Quagmire. Veterans speak
out on how the Iraq War "spits on the Memorial Wall".
Military families seeking reassurance from Bush in Texas are
denied as he was too busy that day to meet with families of
troops - those suffering the consequences of this war.

Liberation, Bush Style" on www.commondreams.org
Assessment of resentment of US Occupation continues to grow.
Three analogies emerge: Colonial Wars, Vietnam, and the Lebanon
civil wars. Iraqi's killed in massive crime wave in addition
to those directly killed by the Occupying Forces which is
not an insignificant number. UN Security Council Resolution
1483 gives US total control over Iraq's oil revenues until
2007. This is a clear indicator of the New World Order under
the US.
