The Robert Knight Report
5:01 PM PST
The Knight Report: Israel escalates its attacks on Syria.
US supplied Israeli warplanes bombed suspected 'Terrorist
Base' ten miles north of Syrian capital Damascus. Bush states:
"I made it clear that Israel has a right to defend herself.
She should try not to escalate". At the UN, all but the
United States criticized Israel.

Israeli Aggression: Dennis Bernstein interviews Elaine Hagopian
and Nasser Aruri.
Bush on the defensive. Chaotic times as Israel, Bush and
the Neo-Cons get their licks in to further their 1996 agenda
before elections. The Neo-Cons have been urging Sharon 'not
to be restrained'. Their agenda of going after first Baghdad,
then Syria and Iran again seems to dovetail with Sharon's
ambitions. The nuturing of alternate leadership to Arafat
has been long advocated to undermine Palestinian authority.
Elaine and Nasser comments on how this outright act of aggression,
oppossed by world leaders with the exception of the US, only
further isolates us in shifting world policy. Also See: May

Death Threat. Dennis interviews “If Americans Knew”
founder Alison Weir. Alison received a death threat Sunday
for today. Audio excerts from a press conference with Chris
Sprinkle. Saturday she attended "How Can Peace Be Achieved
in The Middle East" forum at the Berkeley campus. It fits
the pattern of harrassment, but is an explicit and definite
threat meant to silence. Alison vows that quite the opposite
effect is occurring, that the threats only strengthen and
confirm the importance of these forums. The Dean of Students
stated "absolutely reprehensible... no speaker on campus
should feel unsafe". Both the University and the City
of Berkeley are taking action to catch the perpetrator and
allow free speech on campus. The stifling of academic inquiry
is a threat to the bedrock of our country - freedom of expression
and speech.

The Schwarzenegger – Ken Lay Connection: Doug Heller,
Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights. An Enron memo
confirms what Schwarzenegger denied - he was indeed at the
Ken Lay meeting in Beverley Hills Hotel in May 2001. The Foundation
is strictly non-partison, but we as taxpayers need to know
what happenned and where our energy policy would go if he
were elected. We know where Bustamante stands on California's
$9,000,000,000 lawsuit. Image Source: Hakahoto
