Haiti Situation. Dennis and documentary filmmaker and co-founder of Caribbean Harvest, Kevin Pina covers US supported opposition and destabilization campaign against Jean-Bertrand Aristide. 10,000 supporters of Aristide resist 200 armed opposition supporters. AP Corporated media predictably downplays the popular support. What do Haiti and Venezuela have in common? Successfully resisting US hemegony to begin. A new political block is growing in the Carribean / Latin America (Brazil, Venezuela and Haiti). Hear Kevin Pino tonight Friday Nov 14th, 7:00 Unitarian Church Berkeley, Cedar at Bonita. 20 minute excerpt and preview of documentary: "Haiti In From the Headlines".

The realities of Iraq through a new documentary film: "About Baghdad" opens tonight in Detroit. Dennis interviews producer/professor at Georgetown University Bassam Haddad. There is little question now that the mainstream media has thoroughly and fundamentally misreported on the US Invasion and Occupation of Iraq. The media's willingness to tow the administrations line while they reported from US military vehicles, refusal to question US officials and the general patriotic stance for the war has created a total confusion as to what is really going on in Iraq. There is a documentary that focuses a sharp light on the reality of the Iraq Occupation and the evolution of a growing armed resistance. "Only a far more genuine [US] attempt at creating a truely representative provisional government will alleviate these problems". More at: AboutBaghdad.com
