Network. The US continues its support of the embargo and the
overall right wing Opposition Groups and destabalization of
the country. Mostly reported in the corporate media is the
reported violence of Lavalas towards the Opposition, but what
is not being reported is the increasing violence of the Opposition
against suspected members of Lavalas party. While the US and
France squeezes the Haitian government, they actively fund
grass roots organizations that undermine President Aristide.

Chiapas Report on the State of the Revolution 10 Years after
the Zapatista Uprising. Solange Echeverria interviews studio
guest and Flashpoints Contributin Producer Miguel Guerrero
on current developments in Chiapas. In 1994 the Zapatista
Army of National Liberation declared war for justice against
the Mexican government and occupied the state of Chiapas.
In the last 10 years since the uprising, the Zapatistas have
with great difficulty and determination created an infrastructure
of government for the people, of the people and by the people.
Miguel reports after returning from the jungles of Chiapas
on his 5th trip there. This section includes audio ambience
clips, music and general documentary on La Realidad.
