Today on Flashpoints:
Today, we celebrate Cinco De Mayo in the context of the new
immigrant rights revolution; we will go live to Mexico, where
the Zapatista Other Campaign, led by Subcommandante Marcos
and other supporters, are marching to San Salvador de Atanco
to show solidarity with campesinos under attack by government
forces; also, we’ll have a report on a demonstration
that took place at the Mexican Consulate here in San Francisco;
an update on the Chilean hunger strike; we’ll be joined
by members of the Flashpoints team and Nancy Charraga to talk
about the significance of Cinco de Mayo; plus, Fernando Suarez
del Solar, the father of the first soldier killed in the Iraq
war speaks out; a commentary by Miguel Gavilan Molina; and
