Since 1996, the Chicago-based peace organization Voices
in the Wilderness has been sponsoring trips to Iraq by
US and British citizens in defiance of United Nations sanctions
and US foreign policy. Speaking last weekend in Boston, the
group's coordinator Kathy Kelly said a war on Iraq would compound
the misery of a people already suffering from years of economic
sanctions.
