Story: UN Slowing Down US War on Iraq
The U.S. demand for speedy U.N. action on Iraq has run into
opposition from Russia, France and China, who want Washington
to change a draft resolution and eliminate any license for
the United States to attack Baghdad on its own.

Rights-CCR interviewed by Verna Avery-Brown.
Story: GOP Hawks Held Accountable
Reporter Jackson Allers of Pacifica station KPFT in Houston,
has been exploring the question of whether the anti-war effort
is being taken seriously by our congressional officials who
voted to abdicate their congressional war power to President
Bush. Focusing on a series of town hall meetings organized
by 7th US congressional district representative, John Culberson,
KPFT news gives this on-the-ground perspective from TC Rogers
Elementary School in Houston Texas.

Story: Voices in the Wilderness Tour
Peace Activists who have defied the U.S. sanctions law and
traveled to Iraq to carry food and medicine to the Iraqi people
are traveling the U.S. in a Mirror of Truth Tour. Ceylon Mooney
was taking a faith based peace movements course in college,
when he was introduced to Voices in the Wilderness. He’s
conducting the Mirror of Truth Tour and calling on Americans
to bear some accountability for the proliferation of weapons
of mass destruction. We asked Ceylon, if Americans take his
advice and look into the mirror what will they see.
Tape: Ceylon Mooney, with the Mirror of Truth Bus tour interviewed
by Verna Avery-Brown.

Story: The Fire This Time: "No News Is Good
News"
Over the past few weeks, we've interviewed poets and musicians
who've offered their creative responses to a war with Iraq.
Today, we've selected a segment from the 2-cd set "The
Fire This Time" (http://www.firethistime.org/) portraying
a time when sanctions and war violations had taken a visible
toll on Iraqi civilians. This track is called: 'No News is
Good News.'

Good News"
Story: Michael Albert Critiques "The Left''
While the movement against the war in Iraq appears to be
growing, to some, there remains a risk of another anti-war
movement becoming ineffective and stagnate. Michael Albert,
the editor of ‘Z’ magazine offered his critique
of ‘the left’ at Simmons College in Boston, MA
during a conference organized by the American Friends Service
Committee.
