Story: Weapons found in Iraq by Inspectors
It was widely reported today that the UN inspectors in Iraq
found a cache of 12 empty chemical warheads that were not
listed in Iraq’s declaration to the UN. Although it
involved only a small number of warheads, the finding appears
to place Iraq in technical violation of the Security Council
resolution 1441.
According to former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter, the
case containing the warheads “was covered with dust
and bird drippings. Does these findings signify a “smoking
gun?”

Story: War of Words by RADIO NETHERLANDS - Part 5
In the wake of the September 11th terrorist attacks, the
Clear Channel radio network-- which owns approximately twelve
hundred stations nationwide-- issued a list of approximately
150 songs with lyrics it deemed inappropriate for airplay
in the polarized political climate. Though Clear Channel ultimately
backed down, saying the list was only intended to be a suggestion
rather than a company directive, the move raised concerns
among many civil libertarians, who questioned whether the
events of September 11th were being used to stifle democratic
freedom of expression
